Business is unique and like human beings, no two are exactly the same. Sure they’re made up of similar elements but the sum total of these parts will always be distinctive. We understand our clients, we understand their needs, and we consistently deliver.
Chorus
Chorus has laid enough fibre to reach from Kaitaia to Bluff 12 times.
When you’re laying 26,000km of fibre optic cable for New Zealand’s ever expanding telecommunications network, the tracking of third party service companies’ compliance to strict quality requirements is complex and time consuming. Enter Davanti.
We worked to refine the overarching objective of “capturing audit information”. By identifying core requirements that could be implemented in the most cost effective and efficient way, in conjunction with the team at Chorus we developed options and a preferred architecture.
Salesforce.com’s Force.com platform was customised to deliver each of the requirements with real-time reporting, minimal data entry and ease-of-use through an online portal that the Chorus team could access whenever and wherever they needed it.
“Davanti presented a draft solution which was very close to fully featured in a very short timeframe. They were very responsive and positive, always available to answer questions and open to our last minute changes. There were no surprises; they delivered what they said they would. The Davanti consultants were a great team and over the course of the project they became part of our team.”
– Cindy Duck, National Lead for Quality, Chorus
Ministry of Justice
What do New Zealanders currently owe in fines? Only about $710 million.
Delivering the service of justice to New Zealand requires expertise, respect, collaboration, innovation and, most importantly, integrity. Delivering an ICT strategy for the Ministry of Justice that will underpin the business of justice in New Zealand requires a company with the same values.
Davanti identified projects and the level of investment required to maintain the value of the agency’s ICT assets (infrastructure, technology, applications and security). We also identified projects that would improve ICT effectiveness and efficiency thereby reducing the overall investment required to operate and maintain the agency’s ICT assets.
In the case of the needed ICT investment, we delivered a concise one-pager to senior management that clearly communicated the importance of ongoing investment in ICT assets. The result was a 300% increase in funding from what was originally planned for refresh and maintenance of ICT assets.
“Davanti are an excellent partner for the Ministry. Their consultants have done a great job in assisting us with transformation of our ICT organisation”
– GM ICT. Ministry of Justice.
ACC
ACC received an injury claim on average every 17 seconds in 2010.
Looking after the well-being of every single New Zealander 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year is a pretty time consuming job. But somebody has to do it. For us, ACC does. And there for ACC’s architecture review was Davanti Consulting.
From discussions with key stakeholders our review focused on the key systems required to meet ACC’s needs over the next 3 to 5 years. Reviewing against best practice, we assessed the compliance of the solution architectures with current ACC standards and developed a categorisation model to drive prioritisation for ACC’s implementation roadmap. ACC now has a strategic view of future enhancements and the steps they need to take to maintain stability, performance and deliver outcomes.
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE)
NZTE represents New Zealand through a network of 37 international offices.
NZTE works to stimulate growth, boost export earnings, strengthen regional economies, and deliver economic development assistance to industries and individual businesses. To help achieve this they need access to information on a global scale. Their current IT and information management was not meeting their needs. They called Davanti to assist them with their enterprise architecture.
Davanti developed a set of simple business and information models that described the core business activities, requirements and information that define NZTE’s business. We assessed how well NZTE’s current applications supported these needs and developed a future state application architecture for NZTE and a 3-year roadmap. The roadmap highlighted the required investment, potential business benefits and approach for each of the projects identified.
“The consultants quickly grasped a complex organisation, demonstrated credibility and have delivered a report that will be of significant ongoing value to NZTE. Well done and thank you to the Davanti team.”
– NZTE EA Project Manager
TVNZ
TVNZ broadcasts its services to approximately over a million households.
Managing advertising and the revenue for New Zealand’s largest television and digital media company is serious stuff. It’s their bread and butter, and requires the sort of management that befits a Hollywood superstar. Implementing that advertising management system requires a superstar in project management. And no surprises who got called first.
Davanti set about establishing a plan from which two big projects could be successfully delivered which included a review of current activities and status, on-site reviews with offshore vendors, commercial negotiations, careful scope management and project planning.
“Davanti’s consultants are world class and their agile organisation is able to respond quickly to our requirements. Davanti has brought improved confidence and certainty to our projects and we trust them to work with us as one team to deliver the business outcomes we seek.”
– Damian Swaffield, CIO, TVNZ
Auckland City Council
Auckland City Council delivered more products and services than any other organisation in NZ.
Managing the calls made by half a million Aucklanders needs a robust solution to deliver exceptional customer service. Davanti was first engaged by Auckland City Council to construct a business case for the upgrade of their contact centre telephony platform. Davanti was then appointed to support the end-to-end implementation of the upgrade.
This project delivered an alignment of processes to support consistent service delivery, upgraded the technology to create a sustainable solution architecture and reduced technology barriers for the delivery of customer service excellence to the visitors, rate payers and constituents of Auckland City.
“Every project Davanti has led has come in on time, scope and budget which has been a fantastic achievement. They have taken the time to develop an in-depth understanding of the business and have integrated seamlessly with our people, allowing them to deliver outstanding results. Working with them has not only enhanced my knowledge and capability, but has reaped wider benefits with my leadership team and for the business.”
– Steve Merchant, Contact centre Manager, Auckland City Council
Fulton Hogan
Fulton Hogan lays millions of tonnes of asphalt every year.
When you’re working on South Australia’s biggest road project in 50 years, laying 460,000 tonnes of asphalt, assets and capital planning means a lot to you and your customer.
For Fulton Hogan, Davanti has defined and implemented a number of solutions on the
Force.com platform. Fulton Hogan recognised that a cloud application development platform had the potential to dramatically reduce the up-front cost and effort associated with IT solution implementation, making it feasible to address many of its non-critical process challenges affordably. In establishing Fulton Hogan’s cloud platform we defined application standards; architected solutions posed by complex business process, user interface or integration requirements; performed end-to-end rapid application development; and supported the growth in Fulton Hogan’s with training and mentoring.
“Davanti has developed a seamless delivery methodology for Force.com development. It helped us unlock some of the business’ greatest assets efficiently and without the risks typically inherent in a large-scale technology investment.”
– Lance Kenworthy, Group Manager IS, Fulton Hogan
Watercare
Each day, Watercare supplies over 370 million litres of drinking water to the people of Auckland.
In addition to ensuring the daily supply of quality water to Aucklanders, under “Supercity,” Watercare faced a major transition - consolidating seven existing Local Network Operators (LNOs) and Council business units to become the single integrated water and wastewater service provider for the entire region within 12 months.
Call in Davanti. Our close relationship with Watercare, and a deep understanding of their business, allowed us to quickly provide assistance to one of the most significant transformations of local government in the southern hemisphere.
Davanti worked with their executive team to develop an implementation plan and provide the implementation resources right across the programme of change. We led the design and implementation for the new systems; migrated their IT environment to support an organisation that was doubling in size; and developed new processes for their brand new contact centre.
“Davanti has made a significant contribution to the creation of the new Watercare business. They’ve brought professionalism, a can-do attitude and demonstrated commitment as part of our team to ensure this programme’s success.”
– Jim Swanson, Chief Information Officer Watercare.
