After two years at the helm of Davanti’s core Salesforce business, recent changes at Davanti have seen Dan McBeth take an exciting step into the newly created role of GM Emerging Services & Alliances, signalling Davanti’s intent to stay ahead of the innovation curve within New Zealand.
Led by Dan in his new role, Davanti plans key new strategic initiatives around Data & AI, further growing its MuleSoft integration practice, and growing its Experience Design and Marketing capabilities.
Davanti CEO, John Bessey, says:
“Dan’s had a great career with Davanti, and it’s of real significance that we’re now targeting him at three significant growth areas for Davanti going forward. These are our Data & AI focus, working with Tableau; further growing our MuleSoft focus and continuing to drive Marketing Services and Design & Experience as a core part of our business, integral to everything we do.
We know Dan will really give these three things the focus that those businesses need to grow and continue to help our customers embrace innovation, create more holistic solutions and get closer to their customers.”
Importantly, this innovation and data-led focus sees Davanti step into the Tableau world as a certified partner by consolidating existing skills into a distinct Data & Analytics practice. This practice will sit alongside a number of Davanti’s complementary business units: Integration, Marketing Services and Human Centred Design.
Dan says, “Our sister companies across the Dentsu Network already play very heavily in the Tableau space to support their customers, and our Marketing Services team have been using Tableau internally for years to surface the results of work we’re currently doing.
We are seeing really high levels of interest in Tableau and the increasing application of data analytics from the market and our customers, whether that is to create success metrics across Sales & Service operations or to understand return on investment in the marketing technology space.
Anyone familiar with Tableau knows it is a market leader in data visualisation. Brought together, our human-centred design skills and UX focus marries well with a compelling data visualisation suite.
We’re confident that we can deal with the plumbing because we’ve got a really strong team and track record across Integration & Enterprise Architecture.“
Davanti is looking to grow its Data & Analytics practice and is currently in the market to find a Tableau business unit lead, alongside other key Analytics hires.
Dan adds, “The Tableau partnership and focus is a logical extension of a skill set that we already possess. The timing seems perfect for us to make this move as the merger between Tableau and Salesforce comes to fruition.
The Tableau partnership allows us to rapidly enable our team, taking existing skills (just as we have done successfully in the Salesforce space) and start to move our people through the enablement track, to demonstrate to our customers our experience, credibility and understanding of the platform.
Even though it’s early days, we’re delighted to see the level of crossover between our current strategic accounts and existing Tableau customers in New Zealand.”
Another key aspect of the GM Emerging Services and Alliances role is a strong focus on continuing to strengthen and grow Davanti’s alliances and partnerships, ensuring that Davanti continues to be successful in leveraging the full benefit of the Salesforce ecosystem and beyond.
